Well hello Midsummer, how did we get here? Not that I am not pleased to see you but it has been a slightly odd, bumpy track to get us to this meeting point. Some might say a life changing, history defining, incomprehensible, journey across unknown terrain to get here. Hurrah, we made it and aren’t we the lucky ones that have.
I suppose, now on reflection, it was not so bad after all. Perhaps it was a big lesson, experience or even a gift to have lived through. Perhaps we did miss a lot along the way but perhaps we gained a lot more. Perhaps we realised the importance of the simple things and perhaps we really noticed those simple things for the first time.
So at this point, as we meet Mid Summer, although the journey ahead is too looking a little unusual, I think it is time to prioritise the now, the importance of the now, the beauty of the now; because on my journey here I finally realised that maybe that is all that really matters.
