….And just like that November is here, the start of Winter and the start of fireworks. We retreat, (from the cold and the fireworks) we hide and we rest up, we halt to indulge on any level, for the next four weeks, all in preparation for the ‘glitzy’ month of the year. It is a month of fasting in more ways than one… So just in time for 30 days of Remember remember not to spend in November, I will share with you a few little treats which will ride the the next 30 days with me, in all its warmth and Glory and allow for ‘budget indulgence’ if I may.
Perle de Coco
A huge fan of And Other Stories, on every level, not only are their shops set out like art installations but I literally want, need and can’t live without everything on their shelves, and feel a mini break down growing in response to the fact that I just cannot! Dramatic yes, but calmed and remedied by the Beauty section and specifically the Perle de Coco Body Wash and the Body Soufflé these two lotions full of beautifully scented potions are my little treats at the moment. They smell incredible, coconut, vanilla, caramel heaven, literally soufflé me up! After showering not only do I smell incredible, the bathroom smells incredible, with the scent floating down the landing, so the house smells incredible. The body cream is thick and rather luxurious and the good thing is you do not need a lot for it to works it’s magic! The packaging is clean and simple, yes bathroom display level! Yep big fan and even bigger fan of the £7 a bottle…….
Dark Amber and Black Vanilla
……So we are riding on a theme here, another favourite store and the home/beauty department. A walk into Zara Home on Regent Street, is like a walk into a haven of everything you would love your home to be….and sigh! Once again a longing for practically everything in their beautifully set out stores, followed by once again, that ain’t gonna happen realisation…But wait, hail the hand wash and hand creams, deliciously scented, just as worthy and perhaps even nicer than the high end brands we prop up next to the kitchen sink and refill the bottle with any old stuff (oh just me!) and at a mere price of £4, and SING!
This theme continues through to the array of scented candles, with Black Vanilla being my favourite, vanilla and praline fills the room, it is warm, wintery and relaxing….just close your eyes and you can just imagine the rest of the Zara Home stock completing your home…..
So a few little ‘budget’ luxuries to get us through November which are Not a Fortune for Glory….
