The Summer Dress of All Summer Dresses

What ever the season I do find myself to be a bit of a dress fan and Summer being the optimum month to embrace the ‘girly’ float without being too girly, to be relaxed but also look like you’ve made a little effort.  To continuously allude to those beach days, balmy hot days, salty hair days and carefree days, that is what I’m after in the Summer dress.

I do have to admit I can waste a lot of money on items that I only feel comfortable wearing with a good tan on a far away desert island holiday where I know no one and everything is wonderful around me.  Then once I’ve returned home, the tan has faded, the dress then suddenly becomes too short, or shows too much skin and I’m basically in public,  I just spend all night fidgeting and tugging it and then the dress is shoved to the back of the wardrobe where the ‘once wear’ dresses now live.

So when I find a dress that is carefree,  mixed with  vintage feels and floral tea party prints, in blossom pink, it really is a big tick.  This Faithful The Brand, midi Katergo dress transcends a ray of countries, events, days out which is always a bonus.  I’ve already worn this dress with salty hair and bare feet for Margaritas on the beach in Tulum, with a leather jacket for Aperols and pasta in Rome and I’ve a special Summer party or two, coming up that I can allude Summer at all over again whilst wearing it.  It would make a pretty ideal wedding guest dress too, if you have an array of invitations over the next few months, and even with some gold strappy sandals, this dress would get the Royal Stamp of approval from Megan and Harry this weekend, not that I need to worry about that one!

All the summer feels with a beautiful a big wrap knot at the back,  adds some detail to this otherwise lightweight, floaty, Summery dress,   and while I do need help doing it up, it is oh so, so pretty but not too over done, just the way i like it.

The Summer dress of all Summer dresses and one worn not just on a desert island where I know no one!

I try to capture a moment albeit it grand or seemingly insignificant, so it can last just that little bit longer…
