The first day of May and the sun is shining, albeit it is still a little on the cold side, it is lovely to see a blue sky and the beginnings of a warm Summer approaching.  With this is the hope that my Summer dress purchases for the heat of the South West of America, will be worn under the blue skies of the UK in the upcoming months.

 Actually the reason why I brought this light blue midi dress  from Topshop, not only because I have a slight penchant for anything smock, but the 70’s vibe, mixed with hot Summers and maybe a little feel of Little House on the Prairie, for some strange reason.  Asides the hint to past decades, this dress is perfect for the not so balmy hot days we have over here, with a t-shirt under, a denim jacket over, or as I’m wearing here, as it comes (in an unintentional slightly lost in the woods look) if we are lucky.   The length and the thicker straps means you are not quite baring all when you are easing into skin showing in the UK, oh and plus it’s stripy!! So hot Summer, or blue Summer it’s going to get it’s fair share of wear!
